 Your gift allows us to provide one-of-a-kind services to children in need. Each year we rely on individual donations to help pay for the cost of intensive, 36-hour training provided to volunteers from throughout the community. This training teaches volunteers a research-validated, multisensory, phonics based, explicit tutoring curriculum. After completing training, these volunteers then go into schools to work in one-on-one or small group intensive interventions with children who have been identified as at-risk for reading failure, at no cost to schools or families.

Dear Friend of Reading ASSIST ® Institute (RAI),

For many children in our community, RAI is the happy ending to their struggles with reading difficulties…

RAI is the sole nonprofit organization providing intensive multisensory tutoring to struggling readers in Delaware , New Jersey and Pennsylvania , free of charge. Every day in our community we are “unlocking the written word” for young readers and providing educators with additional resources to teach the skill of reading in the classroom. As a non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity of individuals like you to support our programs for struggling readers and to supplement the support RAI receives from foundations, corporations, and government grants, which make up only about 70% of the funds needed to run our programs each year. With your tax-deductible donation and the dedication of volunteers from our neighborhoods, we can make a difference…one child at a time.
