Our Services — Fee-Based Private Tutoring

Reading ASSIST Institute tutors provide valuable instruction to students who struggle in all areas of reading. Our Orton Gillingham-based intervention program provides an explicit, structured, sequential and cumulative approach to both reading and spelling. This is a very powerful process that is proven to produce results. Multisensory structured language lessons activate the visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile pathways through simultaneous engagement to support mastery of sound symbol correspondence and decoding skills. All instruction provided through RAI tutoring programs reflect best practices which are consistent with instructional guidelines as indicated by the report of the National Reading Panel.

Our tutors are expertly trained and certified through a process that ensures a high standard of knowledge, competency, and ability. RAI’s policy requiring ongoing professional development maintains this high standard.

Instruction is tailored to the individual child and delivered one to one in a mutually agreed upon setting.

Our Tutor Service Program Coordinator will be happy to answer any questions you might have as well as to assist you with the registration process. Please call:

"When my son was referred to Reading Assist, he did not know that words were made up of letters and letters were made up of sounds. He has been working with his tutor for 4 years and is becoming a confident reader.  Reading Assist has given him confidence and the tools needed to decode words. I have recommended Reading Assist to several friends and will continue to every chance I get."
