RAPS Intervention Training (formerly Basic Training):
This training provides educators with the knowledge base, curriculum and materials necessary to provide an effective Tier III Intervention to struggling readers. RAPS: Reading ASSIST ® for Primary Students is a research based multisensory structured language curriculum designed for students who need explicit instruction in all skill areas that contribute to competent reading.

DIBELS Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills and Response to Intervention (RTI)

Analysis
In this module, participants will learn the six syllable types that form the framework for the spelling patterns of words in our language and aid in determining the vowel sound. The principles of syllable division will be taught as well as the role of accent in multisyllable words. Participants will learn about the prefixes, roots, and suffixes that comprise a large percentage of multisyllable words and how knowledge of these morphemes is an additional aid in decoding. Finally, the spelling rules that apply to adding suffixes to the words will be taught. Sat., Feb. 7
