Active Volunteers — Additional Ways to Help
Student Party: Dragon Day on May 19, 2011
Your help is needed to facilitate preplanned, fun activities at the Student Party. You may be called upon to guide our royal guests from station to station or help with arts and crafts, relay races, or even support the food committee. The choice is yours! Our students work hard all year long and this is their time to have fun and feel part of a larger organization. Please contact Sue McGrath, smcgrath@readingassist.org, if you can lend a hand.
Office Help – Class Materials Preparation
Recent requests for RAI professional development in schools has sorely taxed our office staff. Preparation of materials for these classes can be very time consuming, pulling staff away from their appointed tasks. Do you have an additional hour or two to come in and help with this preparation? Please contact Jeanne DiChiara, jeanned@readingassist.org, if you are able to help. The staff will be grateful and most importantly, we will be able to impact even more struggling readers.
Summer Volunteer Tutoring
There are a limited number of students whose parents have requested tutoring during the summer through the Volunteer Tutor Program. This tutoring is outside of the school tutoring model and only for the summer months. The times, location and days of the week are arranged to be mutually convenient for the parent and tutor. Please contact Sue McGrath, smcgrath@readingassist.org for more information.
